FOR MINNESOTA AND WISCONSIN All the Best and Most Beautiful Annuals for Northern Gardens Why a new book on annuals? Because NO ONE has ever published an annuals book that identifies and recommends the best bedding and container plants for our relatively short, cool-to-hot-to-cool, northern growing season. This book contains updated information and amazing new cultivars, covering all your favorite, tried-and-true annuals PLUS many newer annuals just arriving on the nursery scene. Each plant given a thorough once-over by the Renegade Gardener! I selected what I consider the 84 best annuals for garden use, then researched and included the best-performing varieties for each—over 500 annuals in all! Needless to say, this book is for all gardeners outside of Minnesota and Wisconsin who garden in USDA Zones 2-5. Orders from Canada , the Rockies , upper Midwest and Northeastern U.S. gardeners will be joyously accepted! Here’s how to order, followed by more book content information and photos below: Click on the book cover below for secure ordering using your credit
card or bank account through PayPal. Or buy the book the good old-fashioned
way, by mailing your check or money order (made payable to Renegade Gardener)

About the Book
We did not limit the book to bedding plants you will always find as pre-starts at the nurseries, though that is often the case. We included a number of fabulous, less common annuals that gardeners can easily grow from seed, so as to have flowers in your gardens and containers that will fill your neighbors with envy. Lone Pine is a Canadian publisher based in Alberta, and they put out beautiful gardening books. This book is a smart size, with rounded corners that won’t get beat up when you pop it in your bag or toss it on the front seat of the car; you’ll want to take it with you every time you visit the nursery. Combining Annuals for Minnesota and Wisconsin with my books Perennials for Minnesota and Wisconsin and Tree & Shrub Gardening in Minnesota and Wisconsin gives you a complete, affordable library covering all aspects of gardening in USDA Zones 2-5.
